Kits are $5.00 for the general public and FREE for BCHA members.
Packets will be available for pick up on: Thursday, December 17th between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
With so many global holidays happening in December, let this month's kit take you on a journey around the world to explore what it means to celebrate! This month's kit contains four great activities!
Activity 1: Hanukkah
This Jewish holiday is filled with celebration as practicioners remember the defeat of their oppressors and the return of the Temple of Jersuelem. Kids can join in with a make your own dreidle and gelt bag activity.
Activity 2: The Feast of the Virgen de Guadalupe
December 12th is an important holiday to Latinx catholics across the Americas as they pay homage to the patron saint of the western world - The Virgen de Guadalupe. Kids will be able to make their own paper Castillian rose
Activity 3: The Season of Jol
Nothern Europe experienced a long and dark winter, with yule celebrations bringing much needed light and laughter. Kits will be able to make their own snowflake to celebrate the season.
Activity 4: Lohri
Travel to Indian to get caught up in the late winter festival of Lohri. This January Punjabi celebration welcomes light back into the world and kids will be able to color their own Lohri peacock to celebrate!
